Hmm. About the "judgemental" and "rude", I gotta say, you have a point there. Everytime I go to the Philippines for vacation, I always get judged for speaking the International Language "English". It's annoying but I kinda like the attention. And there's your stupid and blind salesladies who says "Ahh yes. It will look good on you." when the clothing item is either TOO small or TOO big for you. Do you need glasses, woman?
